Hey I read thru the 4th Ed Rulebook and it clearly says that "any model with 2 single-handed weapons gets 1 extra attack" so I thought up this damn near unkillable HQ.

Of coz u can give him jump packs and/or Addy Mantel to make him even deadlier! But anyway, if this guy survives some enemy HQ's opening barrage (he's got a good chance of that with 3 wounds and a 4+Inv save) then ur facing 12 :lol: Str8 power attacks (on the charge). Can anyone survive this?
What the...where did the 12 attacks come from? 6 is the most you can get on the charge for any SM HQ (3+1+1+1=6)

having two single handed weapons doesn't x2 your attacks..I think thats what you were thinking?

12 attacks at strength 8? That's the Solitaire on steriods. Still, 6 attacks at strength 8, re-rolling misses is still enough to kill anything, regardless of initiative.

You can pick which weapon you want to use, if you've all forgotten. I equip my Wolf Lord about the same way.

That seems really inefficient and overly-reliant upon one model who only gets to use those weapons if he's in base contact. Instead, give the chappy a BP for 1 point to get the extra attack, then use the 30 points you would've spent on a thunderhammer and upgrade the vet sgt with a powerfist. He can use the fist even if he isn't in base contact, as long as he's within 2 inches. Plus, he has 3 attacks, 4 if he charges, and he still get's to reroll misses if the chappy is leading his squad! He's also slightly more survivable since if he isn't in base contact he won't be among the first casualties taken--which also means he should hang around long enough to use his Fist.
