    Ok...why does Guard only have one HQ choice? Not counting Special Characters (cuz I don't like them and neither does anyone I play with) we're a little short on HQs. We're not even allowed to take a second HQ Platoon! Consider this a formal protest. Anyone with me?

    Not with you at all. Imperial Guard Organisation is very, very different and I believe the single HQ Platoon is very fluffy and is very, very balanced.

    Two HQ Platoons could field a LOT of Support Squads...

    i love the guards orginization, imo it's the best in the game. true it's a lil formal, but it's very fluffy imo. and the leaders actually "lead"!

    company command squad, only should be one. otherwise it'd be the company "co-command" squad...

    and besides, platoon command squads are virtually mirror images of company command squads. and if you want more support squads, take HWplatoons.


    the *only* option i wish they had, was for people who really like grenadiers. i wish there was a HQ that was basically grenadiers, ie BS4 4+ save etc. but only could be taken if the only grenadiers/stormies are used (ie no Vets, platoons, conscripts, etc)

    i know you could almost do this w/ carapace and sharpshooter... but ... i'd still be cool for those who like "elite" IG armies :lol:


    but for the most part, 1 HQ is more than enough for me!
