I'm new to Witch Hunters and didn't know which of these to elites choices are better. I think Repentia look so much better and i like how they charge towards the enemy when they fail their morale check but since they attack last will they kill anything? Arco-flagellant look really powerful but the fact that they can kill themselves before they do anything scares me a little (because i get really bad luck).
Which one should i get or are they so bad I should get and extra seraphim squad instead.
This question gets asked a lot.
Arco Flaggellants = very nasty anti-power armour capabilities (Termie Killers). In the habit of self detructing and difficult to use. Must take a priest in another unit.
Sisters Repentia = Good at sawing open tanks. Unpredicable, fragile and even more difficult to use. Best unit to attach a Preist to.
Seraphim = Good for whatever you tool them for. Best choice for newbies.
Personally, I'd be getting more Seraphim. I just love'm.

And over there we have the labyrinth guards.
One always lies, one always tells the truth, and one stabs people who ask tricky questions.
Repentia look cool and appear to be CC monsters at first sight, but striking last and wearing nothing but S&M isn't a good combo. Arcos are also vulnerable (small units, tend to blow themselves up) but if u sheild them and time their stimm injectors well they are a winner. Defo not a newbie unit. But yea seraphim kick ass. If u want a kick ass elite unit go for an assassin. It works for me. Callidus vs. tau=
you say they dont wear much but they still have a better save than IG.

What does this have to do with anything? They also have better saves than tyranids and dark eldar among others, what is your point exactly?
Darkwarlock, since you are new, I'd suggest you get neither as of yet. When you decide to do so, bear in mind that repentias are used for different things than flaggelants. I'd say that repentias are good at opening up tanks or heavy weapon teams, as any cc or large squad will probably eat them up before they even get to strike back. Flaggelants are troop killers but are unstable, since they can OD themselves or get few attacks when they charge.
Thanks guys for all the help.
I'm not a total newbie as i have a 2,000 point Ulthwe Eldar army and have won quite a few battles with them but Witchhunters are very different as I aim to kill what I used to collect. I just really like the Repentia models and I would much prefer them be strength 4 ignore armour saves as long as they didn't attack last. That is their biggest disadvantage. Since i used to collect Eldar I'm used to having a high initiative so i don't know if I could cope with Repentia matbe I should plan to have two celestian squads instead, is this a good idea if I give them good weaponry.
Thanks so far
