i have never seen rules for those drop dead gorgous space marins  . anyone knows where the rules are??
i think there is rules for them some where i am sure i saw them before, ask GW about them
P.S. Blood angels rule, the anger lets us ignore wounds ...hehehe
I don't think that there are any rules for the hawk lords but if you find their background you could use the chapter trait rules to suit their background.
I can tell you they are NOT in indexus astares 1. You should check 2 and 3 however. In addition, even if you dont find the hawk lords, you may find another chapter who suits your needs. Paint them as Hawk Lords and use the rules for any other 1 chapter.
Mentor of Space Marine Commanders far and wide.
Efficiency VS Point Cost VS Ease Of Use - Your best bets:
1) Chaplain led Assault squad - 2 plasma pistols, powerfisted sergeant
2) 8 man Devastator squad - 4 missile launchers
3) Land Speeder Tornado - HB + AC
Nothing suitable in Index Astares 2.Originally posted by Chaosbrynn@Jan 29 2005, 171

I'm a Necron player who's just started painting a SM force to teach my 14 year old with and while I was leaning toward the Executioners (from the Red Book), my son liked the Hawk Lords from the new Codex. I've searched the web for the last week and finally just started writing my own Chapter List, characters, and other suitable fluff. When some of it's polished, I'd be glad to post it here.Originally posted by Knape97@Jan 29 2005, 13:14

But as the guys say, there's no reason you can't choose your own traits or use others that you like with pretty cool color scheme. FWIW, while their paint scheme is pretty Codex Astartes based (if you assume that the pictures in the new Codex are the 2nd Company) I chose a Notable Divergence
My Hawk Lords are defined by the trait "Courageous - For a warrior, the only crime is cowardice. They have the advantages, "See, But Don’t Be Seen" and "Trust Your Battle Brothers" and the drawback "Eye to Eye".
I based it on the idea that well, the name Hawk Lords sounded... Well, I don't know... like Old World nobility. I guess that it's from the idea that hawking was a sport of Kings in my mind. It made them a proud lot as my fluff began to develop, but just as important to their skills and such was the composition of the force I was going to build. Since I had a bunch of plastic models floating around, I decided to begin with the basic building blocks, and didn't see myself building the bike or speeder squadrons anyway. By choosing "Eye to Eye" I locked myself into that choice. I had a number of heavy weapons models, so choosing an option that let them sneak onto the battlefield seemed to play to the steel fist in a velvet glove politics of the nobility that already was influencing my ideas.
Of course, notice the above... "MY" Hawk Lords. I'm sure that someone else is playing them, and as a pure Codex chapter, or maybe something even more divergent than my ideas.
It's all about having fun, right?
