    Ive been playing for some time as the Ultramarines against varying armies and so on and strangely enough the only army I am yet to beat is the hammer of the Imperium ... the Imperial Guard.

    Now that a mate of mine has taken over another mate Imperial Guard, I will be seeing alot of action against them.

    Which leads to the topic of this thread.... I need some good strategies to counter the Guard and there ridiculous amount of Big Guns and Heavy Weapons.

    I would tend to lean towards a CC orientated strategy but the Guard can field loads of infantry and I would just get bogged down trying to kill them all.

    So no im starting to lead towards Speeders, an invaluable tool in killing armour that is usually fielded against me. But anyway let me know what you guys think.

    Efficiency VS Point Cost VS Ease Of Use - Your best bets:

    1) Chaplain led Assault squad - 2 plasma pistols, powerfisted sergeant

    2) 8 man Devastator squad - 4 missile launchers

    3) Land Speeder Tornado - HB + AC
