In the DH codex the Veteran of a IST squad has the same leadership value as the squad. Is this a misprint? Usually the vets have 1 higher leadership.
Its a correct value and not that uncommon.
Nope, the ONLY stat change from an IST to an IST Vet is +1 Attacks.
Really? I haven't seen it before. Where would you see it?Originally posted by Fonus@Feb 9 2005, 19:19

In Daemonhunters: Justicar, Brother-Captain, & Grand Master all have the same Ld as their underlings.
In IG: The Stormtrooper Vet Sarge and the Hardened Vet Sarge both have the same Ld as their underlings.
Only codecies I have handy, so that'll have to do...
As do SM vets, Nobs (IIRC), TMCs, everything in Necron and nid army having same Ld, etc.
Hive Fleet Furi Kuri 32/21/4
Tomb Kings: 8/5/2
Im in ur Halo, killin ur covernantz
but you're right it's stupid. You should become a vet based on leadership, not your personal ability to attack more. Also would encourage more to take Vets to add solidarity to squads. oh well
+1 A and access to the armoury. access to the armoury is the real reason why you do it.
