i was going to buy a Sisters Squad boxed set (you know the basic troop squad) When I saw the cost was $55 Aus. I was outraged to find that all the other troop boxes are $50 Aus even though the sisters had less than many of them! This is descrimination! Is it just Oz gamesworkshop who are mucho grando iditoto or is it in other countries? Please Do tell.

A box of ten here in the bay area of california is only 40 USD. :shifty:

But, if I did the math right, that would come out to 51 AUD. So while I don't know the general economy of Australia the prices are roughly "equal" between the bay area and Australia.

You're complaining that our Battle Sisters Squad box costs more than the SM Tactical Squad box?

Did you notice that all the SoB models are made of metal? We don't get a troop box of plastic pieces.

I for one am thrilled by our current troop box. The old SoB combat squad was 6 sisters for AU$50
And over there we have the labyrinth guards.

From what I understand of Games Workshop marketting, they don't allow anyone to sell prices normally cheaper than they do (which means they can lower prices for sales and promotions but not 24/7) so it might be that the store you go to is selling slightly higher priced than the standard Games Workshop price. Unless of coruse we are talking about a Games Workshop store then well... maybe they had their own "special" conversion. :hmm:

They're metal simply for more detail and livery doesn't cast well in plastic sprues.

Nice litle minatures though. They pack a lot of detail.
I also like the weighty feel of the metal figurines.

It's just a pity all the faces and hair are the same.
