I'm planning to use GreyKnight and GreyKnight terminators for DS and close combat in a 2250 pt game. I also have 2 questions
1-3x8 GK + 3x8GKT = a good side for CC+take a little casualty.?
2-How do you equip your GK+GKT for DS+close combat.?
Please let me know what you think. thank you.
First of all, those six squads are over 1800pts. I'd say to not use so many Terminators. Second, max those squads out. There's no reason to leave them at 8 models apiece when 10 would give you just that much more of a kick (and longevity). Real advice depends completely on the rest of your army.1-3x8 GK + 3x8GKT = a good side for CC+take a little casualty.?FAGK: Justicar has Meltabombs, Squad has 0-1 Incinerators & no Psycannons. That's it. Wargear is just a waste here. The Incinerator is your call - you lose true grit and the +2S, which is bad for a combat unit, but the potential for one template shot is worth it. Multiple Incinerators starts to become a waste, and psycannons are too damn expensive - you're doubling the cost of a Trooper just to take away all his combat power!2-How do you equip your GK+GKT for DS+close combat.?
GKT: Sacred Incense in one squad (it's 0-1 per army, IIRC). If the squad leader is a GM, give him the Icon as well. Mastercrafting is cool for BC's, but is a waste on GM's for the most part, since they only need to score one hit to use the Force weapon's ability. Holocaust is nice for GKT squads, but I would only put it in Elite ones (the HQ squads already look juicy enough to the enemy).
