From an email to me from forgeworld:

The Taros Campaign book will list background and a new army list for the
Elysians. Which will for example allow them to take demo charges in infantry
    squads.

    woo woo Taros campaign book?

Everything you have been told is a lie!

Tint of the dark ones -
Taros Campaign book appears to be a product, as per the email , from forgeworld due out early spring, reading the inferance from a number of emails from Forgeworld it will give some history on the Taros campaing ad background, fluff, and army rules for elysians, obvioust based on th existing codex IG but with some changeds - demo charges in troops squads.
Not clear if the book will be exclusively limited to Elyians or will include other stuff, also may be rules on campaign its self as an actual campaign, - awaiting further info from Forgeworld

    Archaon -
yeah tell me about it, 44 quid for a squad, a minimum of 112 quid for a troop choice, but hey, the minis look pretty damn good, although the paint examples on FW site are not pretty good, I will be disapointed if any of mine are that badly painted. cosidering the effort I put into painting it takes me a while to paint a mini, so the price is actually less of a concern (eg the librarian on my Avatar took 4 weeks to paint - spreads the cost more, but it does mean that the whole army is a pretty long project, games day 2010 here I come!

In the fluff aren't Cadians just outside the EoT. How're they supposed to be fighting Tau? Of course many people have Cadian armies, so if they don't use those as a campaign Imp. army, fewer people will buy the book.

AFAIK, Cadian Regiments are sent all over the empire fighting the enemies of mankind just like every other world's forces.

The infamous lasgun made smaller for ease of carriage during deepstrike and designed so no accuracy is lost.

And I remember quoting Cheredanine once that

BUT if your ammunition is a power source all this is meaningless!
In regards to the meaning of the design.

Certainly would make great hardened veterans or stormtroops.
Thinking of using them for my stormies, with the grav chutes perfect for the role of the Suicide D/S squads.

Cheaper than an entire army, still more than a 500 point army though!
