As for why are they good, well I will let someone who knows more than me answer.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE</div><div class='quotemain'>You can write some simple noobish of your own, however, by slamming your face into your keyboard
1. Amazing models. I mean, come on,these guys are just incredible. Pentient engines, arco flagellants, even the basic sisters
2. Some of the best fluff in the warhammer world, which compliments the models very well. They took the feel of the book from an actual inquisitorial manuscript from the 15th century.
As for rules, these guys are great...
1. Prayers. 3+ invulnerable saves, rending storm b olters and flamers, fearless troops, all on your whim. Sure,it only lasts one turn, but thats all you need it for if you play them right
2.The troops all have a specific purpose. And great rules. Is there anything more fluffy than an inquisitor or arco-flagellant or sister repentia? Even your basic troop of a battle sister is only good at a few specific tasks you assign them to.
3. When you win,you can feel it. What do i mean by this? Ive been playing marines and eldar for a long time. If you make a good list, all you have to do is follow a very simple battleplan to win. Super shooty, super h2h,it gets old. Sisters are good at striking in h2h where they can win, firing at close range where they can demolish a squad, and hit and running with other squads.
On the other hand, they seem to be to be a hard army to play. No super h2h HQ's,no godly high armour save troops like terminators,no super constructed killing machines like wraithlords or c'tan.
Personally so far i love them, and i hope this post helps you out with your decision
