hi guys just a coupla quick questions
how should my assault troops hold their flamers? with one hand or two? i dont think i can, but can i hold another weapon?
thanks in advance!
Assault marines hold flamers with two hands as flamers are two handed weapons. Simple as that.
You call those cheap implants boobs?
They aren't boobs, they're lies!
I would like to see them with a flamer in one hand and like a flag or something in the other hand.
It would make a good conversion.
Answer is, they CAN hold it in one hand, but the other hand must be FREE (no weapon) as a flamer is a 2 handed weapon.

I've fixed up a couple guys holding flamers one handed. They look pretty cool when tooled up with a chainsword also. (I like putting bolt pistols and chainswords on any unit w/ space ie, Plasma cannon, missile launcher, etc) The way I did it, and I don't think ill do this again, was to melt w/ a candle the guy's arm so that the flamer could be proped against his chest. Give it a shot man.
the legal combinations are-
1 one handed weapon
1 two handed weapon
or 1 one handed wepon AND 1 two handed weapon
so its perfectly acceptable to give an assault marine a flamer and a chainsword, obviously, the game effect will be exactly the same as if he had an open hand and flamer.
ok thanks guys i was just a little unclear on that modelling with one or two hands but now i get it
Very nice models, how did you convert the head exactly? I've got a box of berzerkers and i want to make 'em regualr CSM's.Originally posted by WolfRaider@Mar 10 2005, 16:33
You can model them in artistic poses. There is nothing against the rules about modeling the troop holding a two handed weapon in one hand with a CCW or something else in the other. You just can't use both of them at one time since the flamer is two handed. For example:
I cut the "ears" off the helmets with a small pair of dikes (diagonal cutting pliers, sprue nippers), shaved them close with an exacto knife #11 blade, then filed the helmet smooth with a jewler's file (oval cross section), making sure to preserve the decorative trim.Originally posted by brogin@Mar 13 2005, 169
