    I start this thread because i want to know how sm player play their HQ.I play a master w/power weapon,jump pack,bolt pistol,iron halo and it seen to help me alot but maybe i add a chaplin with jump pack and pistol to add more punch.

    My primary HQ is a Master of Sanctity with a jetpack and occasionally a deathmask (BA item). Basically he goes around with his DC and smacks around anybody who gets in the way. But usually my opponents are not so stupid and will run away from them, which allows them to be a great flanking unit allowing the rest of the army to encircle and destroy the enemy. There also great for running up the middle and taking lots of fire.

    my Master is more for look/fluff than ingame effectivness.

    MC Thammer, IronH, TermiH, ArtArmor, BoltP & bionics...

    yeah not really cost/effective... but models looks cool


    imho, one of the best is:
    Master of Sanctity w/ Adm Mantle.

    i mean he gets a 4+ inv AND the Mantle for only ~135

    good bargin imo.

    The mantle cost alot too Better only a iron halo.

    Well, since the Chaplain (either one) already has an invulnerable save and a power weapon, that's one less thing to worry about. It is, of course, very annoying if the Chaplain takes a meltagun hit and fails to make his invulnerable save. That results in a 136+ point HQ choice being killed by a 25ish point Troop in one friggin' shot. The Adamantine Mantle helps keep him alive a bit longer so he can retaliate.

    Personally (so I have something to contribute to this discussion), I think it would at least be fun to have a Commander, a Chaplain, and two Librarians (one shooty, one assaulty). Mix it up and confuse your foes. It can really put a kink in his plans when he's expecting a fearless Chaplain and company in his face, but ends up facing Fury of the Ancients every turn, not to mention multiple high-strength shots and blast markers of doom. I say mis it up. Don't be predictable.

    i dont see why librarian are not play.Fury of the anciant is pretty good.

    YOur idea seem good but the total of point is too high for 4 guy.

    Why would you need to take all four? All you need is one, and with four to choose from you can keep your foes on their toes. Remember, unpredictability helps you to strike smart.

    A chaplin with a master could be good,the master stay back so he give his CD whitout dying and the chaplin with jump pack you send with the assault squad.
