Now some of you may remember the Steampunk themed IG army I'm building, but I seem to have hit a Stumbling block.....
Here's the figures:
Now how do i represent the unit markings on these?...I had thought of a badge fitted to each hat, but I'm stuck.......
Looks very good, thumbs up! (Y)
Anyway, for markings, you could put a little badge on one side of their hat.
Or how about feathers for officers?
I'm not entirely sure on what you're looking for, but maybe that'll help!
Feathers would be a possibility, though I suspect it would spoil the overal look if carred across entire squads (and indeed the whole army), small circular badges on the hats would be fidley but perhaps one of the better ways of achieveing what your after, failing that, am I right in thinking all the soliders of the empire legs have 'bows' at the bottom of the legging? Perhaps using different colours for these would be a simplified way to approach the problem?
Obviously you have themed it on redcoats, traditionaly there is no destiction below regemental level for redcoats, at regimental level ther is the use of cap badges as you haev mentioned, but also lapels and the tails of their jackets (basically the lining) were different colours for different regiments, you could extend that down to squad level
Everything you have been told is a lie!
