Hmm...words I'd suggest:
-Shadow? based on their mysterious nature. Some colours are cool but that'll depend on your colour scheme: Crimson? Silver? Dark?
2nd part: an animal? (Wolves, Eagles, Raptors, Falcons for example) a warrior? (Sons, Warriors, Reavers etc)
There's loads of stuff, and colour scheme and heraldry will have a huge influence. But some things that might work:
Shadow Wolves? Black Talons? Dark Eagles? Or various combinations. Anyway, just some ideas
Lance-Captain of the Portent Veterans Force
"I can live with being a pawn if the game makes sense!" - Terran pilot, Freespace 2
"Shall I kill him now, Master?" - HK-47, Knights of the Old Republic
Lol, just grab a bunch of words that match mysterious, and then throw in either the color scheme of the chapter or some random animal/cool sounding stuff. Then spend some time putting them in random orders and some day something cool will pop up. Just don't get something like the Dark Crimson Sons of the Lion though. (Just came up wtih that outta nowhere, sorry)
Just do what i did to come up with my army name
take an ajective and put if in front of a noun
look at my army name for example
just er make sure they slightly match
something like the fat boxes does not sound good
he hardest part is making up a background story
"In a large war, the tanks only battle the tanks, its up to the footsloggers to win the war" -me
I was actually considering doing a DIY chapter just after I started Space Pups, because I found this awesome paint that changed colors depending on the angle you looked at it from.
They would have been the Cameleoline Stalkers of the Warp. Or something to that effect.
Sam Mills (1959-2005) and Mark Fields - Keep Pounding
Cry Cheese, And Let Loose The Wraithlords And Templar!
Tim's Tyranasaurs (wife's favourite)
Messengers of the Apocalypse
Brass Monkeys (remember that 80's TV series?)
Emperor's Gun Club
Jack of all trades, master of none.
The one I really would not be able to resist out of those has to be The Emperor's gun club.
On a related matter, whilst borrowing my friend's marine codex I decided to make my own chapter similar to yours. Called the Stalking Shadows. See but don't be seen, we stand alone. They are a forgotten chapter, most of them were wiped out. Haven't figured out how yet but I do know they use a lot of scouts with sniper rifles and infiltrators/deepstrikers.
You can use the name & stuff if you want. Maybe for you're army they need lots of apothecaries to keep the remainder of the chapter alive.
:DIT:: Also don't you need to take a major disadvantage because you took 2 advantages?

74. Thy shalt not tip the Terminators over during battle.
Mine are Renegades, but loyalist been persecuted by a Zealous inquisitor because their skin turns green and their Eyes go red, but even though they have been declared Excommunite and their fortress is destroyed, they fight on for the emperor, i have given them some chaos heads ,guns etc to show their lack of replacement equipment (like 13thco)
Trust your battle brothers-Over time after suffering persecution from nearly all other loyalist forces, exept a band of 13th co they met, who understand their peril, the marines have formed a strong trust, stronger than that even of other chapters
Never Despair- Suffering from horrendous casultys as their monastery was attacked Chapter master Otori ordered no man to fire, desperatre to show they were loyal, but to no avail, now they know they are doomed, they fight on with grater courage, winning the day when all seems lost.
Draw backs-We stand alone-no one will ally with them (duuuh)
Eye to Eye-They have adapted a role of heavy infantry with little armoured support.
The chapters recent sightings show scouts amongst their ranks, having fled deep into the galatcic rim this leads inquisitors to believe they have escaped with more tecnolagy than first thought.

PROUD TO BE IN THE BRITISH ARMY.
~~ Surrender and serve me in life, or die and slave for me in death~~
If you are wanting to play on the shadow aspect, look to nocturnal predators, or creatures of the night.
I'd suggest downplaying any animals that have been used many times before, but then again that leaves you with animals that don't have great charater traits!
Or think of hit and run creatures that strike and then slink away with their prey.
i'll try and think up some examples and post later.
Space Wolves are badasses that operate just barely within the rules.
13th Co. didn't even know there were rules applying to how badass they could be.
... and Daemonhunters make it three - now just need a spare room to store it all!!!
My army is the Phoenix Marines. They were a new founding after the first Tyranid Hive fleet atack on Macragge. All chapters from the first founding that draw seed from the Ultramarines gave a special tithe to create a new chapter that is the closest to Ultimar to support the UM if the vile plague ever returned. They took upon themselves a lot of missions normally undertaken by the UM whilst the UM got back up to real combat effectiveness. They are now very closes allies with the UM. Prefered enemy is Nid.
Thus Phoenix Marines after rising from the ashes of the Tyranid Invasion.
