So, I'm wondering, fluff-wise, both the Raven Guard and the Night Lords would mostly engage only on their own terms, at their enemies' weakest points, and (probably) only under cover of darkness, or with much stealth. Utilising a stealthy surgical strike on an unprepared enemy.
So, I was wondering, how (theoretically, or would it happen), would an RG and NL army engage each other, i.e. how would they meet if they BOTH try to launch surprise attacks on each other at the same time? =/...
Just asking...if that's okay with the thread rules, nothing saying, "No rhetorical questions"...I guess, although this really seems like, a typical, "hen or the egg" thing, or "hen attacks egg, or egg attacks hen?" ^_^
not much different, they would just be more "careful", mvoing around till you have the best spot, then attack.
Using some of the rules in the respective codexs.... maybe the Raven Guard would deep strike in and the Nightlords would engage them in the air?? (since the Nightlords can't deepstrike.) Then the Raven Guard would counter with Tact marines, while the Nightlords try to summon Furies. I know... i'm stretching here.
40K-Beakies(9-14-4),Guard(4-7-2),Orks(34-12-11). FANTASY-Dwarves(15-6-7),Beasts (14-14-1), Skaven (17-17-10) DoC (6-1-2). CYGNAR (28-15-1)
Personally I imagine the Raven Guard would simply send the guard in first and then counter attack....
Ablative shields are after all better than the conventional type. All of the protection, and none of the need to carry it home afterwards...
Oooops lol, epic threadromancy.
