Is the stuff in the Catachan book still allowed, or do we have to use the less detailed doctrine system to create a Jungle Fighter regiment? How about the Jungle set up rules and all that stuff - are Jungle Fighters still allowed to set up hidden, and perform ambushes and use booby traps etc?
The army lists arent legal anymore, but the catchans are include in the lists after the doctrines.
Quite boring, the old catchan rules were really cool.
i think you shoudl call GW cause they may actually let you.

I've asked the question in my local Gameworkshop.
I've been told that yes, the old Catachan codex remains valid.
But that must not prevent you from looking info from elswhere (your local gw) and share it with us afterwards
I've found the official answer (from the GW Chapter Approved site). Basically, for a Catachan only army, the Catachan codex may still be used, but if Catachans are only part of a IG army, use the new book.
u can use it but i tink that ig now or better than cat :w
well i never really cared for catchans anyways cuz they are only good if your playing an entire table full of jungle terrain. So even if it is still legal i dont understand why you would use catchans over regular IG. Especially what with the new codex and all
