I was thinking of doing an Ordo Hereticus hoarde army with Zealots and some larger squads of Battle Sisters (15-20), as well as good sized squad of Repentias. I was wondering how likely this army would be to actually dent an enemy, and what upgardes and support would be best for it.
Uhm...I don't know a whole hell of a lot about WH, but i'll give a little input.
Sisters squads don't really have much tank-busting power, so you'll need a pair of Excorcists or something to lay down cover fire as you march to the enemy. Peneitent Engines and/or Arco-Flaggelants would also probably be nice to have. CC monsters.
Lastly, Sisters Repentia are quite good, but are also targets. So you'll have to make sure to try and cover hop them. They look intimidating. (and kind of sexy) So enemies will be pouring fire into them.

But as repentias ever fail a moral test they move 2D6 inches TOWARDS the enemy. So a good sized squad (at least 10 but bigger is better!) can take some hits and get closer, AND if they come into contact with an enemy unit it counts as if they had assaulted in the previous turn. And once your enemy figures that out he might completely ignore em!!! MIGHT!
I was definitly going to take at least one Excorcist. I don't like how small the Arco-Flaggelant Squads are, but I haven't really thought about Penitent engines.
You should really think about them, there affected by 'Holy Rage', which assures you'll move at least 7" at turn with max being 12", plus an assault move if there close enough! and they get D6 attacks, Imagine 3 PEs each with 6 Attacks that don't allow Armor Saves....*drools*
You mean two, must have ExcorcistOriginally Posted by MiketehFox
True, you can squad them, but then you can't split up. Maybe a squad of two, and the third one on it's own.
why would you slit em??? I find it's not tactically sound, being a walker with a certain Armor value each PE only counts for 5 models, and if you roll a 1 for it's attacks it could very easil be out numbered. 3 PEs will Never be outnumber unless its a 30 strong orc sqaud or multiple combats.
I geuss that's true. I'm too used to SM Dreadnoughts, so having a single walker just sounds right, but having three Penitent engines ripping up a few witches sounds fun.
