Welcome to Librarium Online!
I'm writing fluff for my army at the moment, and thinking about how I can tie it in with some simple conversions...
One thing that would fit with the army fluff would be the head of an ork warboss impaled on a banner, or tank or something, but I'm not sure that I can imagine the Sisters profaning their own equipment with something so heretical.
I'd really like to add it, but it just doesn't feel right. Can anyone convince me that it will work?
I'd actually take the same view as you. I can't see Sisters hanging Xenos trophies on their armour...
Using my background knowledge of the WH's, I can't see them adding such a trophy. The idea behind it is good, but doesn't fit. Also, orks aren't the witch hunters target, perhaps on an alian hunters unit. But then again space marine tyranid veterans use xeno artifacts etc. on there armour, so it could be worked in. Cheers,
Though Sisters don't usually fight Xenos, they hate ALL enemies of the Imperium, it's just that they're tied to the order of Witch Hunters that find them INSIDE the Imperium. However, it does seem very unlikely for the Sisters to use battle trophies as showing off what they can kill is not as important as showing that their fighting for the Emperor.
The main purpose of battle trophies is to intimidate a specific enemy. You see one of your own impaled on a pike, you start to question wether attacking these guys is a sane idea. You see an ork head impaled on a pike, and all your thinking is "Good, one less ork in the galaxy". The point is that Witch Hunters primarily fight other humans. They just wouldn't be likely to carry around a severed ork head. Now a crucified heretic or the remains of a traitor guardsmen tied to the front of a rhino...that's different.
In my opinion i doubt the Sisters would even mount the heads of heretics on their rhinos.
I see their vehicles more like mobile shrines adorned with holy icons and symbols so for instance the skull or remains of a saint or other prominent figure from the order would be more likely to appear on one of their vehicles than the remains of an enemy.
My 2 cents.
i dont see a sisters army putting the remains of an ork on something, let alone any enemy, the idea to them would be to put the remains of holy or pios (sp?) members of the order or just and worthy servants of the emperor so that they will bless the vehichle and watch over it... as for the ork, well those leave spores, and we can have a small obscure planet turning into a gorkamorka sooooooo they would burn the ork and probably seal the ashes in a canester of some sort
When all else fails, burn every one... or missile them back the Golden throne
Evil Beware, we have waffles!
Inquisition might do it but Sisters wouldn't.Originally Posted by Tahidagin
