1st question is about using dreads with the "heed the wisdom of the ancients" chapter trait, it says you can use dread as elite or heavy, now most of the chapter traits involving using a unit for multiple choice says and/or, not is the wisdom trait a typo, i mean is it supposed to say and/or, or dose it correctly say or.
and if it says or dose this mean use can used dreads only as elite or only as heavys?
me and my friends were trying to get the correct wording cause we have heard from multiple places that it means you can take dread for heavy and elite, making it so you can take 6 dread, but it seemed alittle fishy.
what do you guys think.
next i was wondering if any of you guy have a found any good online store or site to order landspeeders from at a decenct price.
Yes its true, you can take 6 dreads.
They can be used as either heavy support or elites... or both.
Not sure about the land speeders though.

Orks - 8W 0L 0D
Tyranids - 8W 0L 0D
*shudders* 6 dreadnoughts for les say about 600-700 points hehehe that would be fun to battle
Also, i'm pretty sure all Dreads taken as Elites must be Venerable.
Correct me if i'm wrong, I don't have my codex near me.

Yes, that's true. And I believe you could work up a list with a techmarine, 10 scouts and 6 dreads in 1000 points. Love to see the opponent's face.Originally Posted by Cypher-

A player in my group uses those divergencies. the army is quite effective. 4 of the dreads have assault cannons the other 2 use las. think 16 assault cannon shots and two linked las shots a turn. mix in snipers, small tact squads and a librarian w/ tearmi armour and a termy sqaud following along(with 2 additional assault cannons).
It's such fun to watch the carnage!
6 dreads sounds awesome, I use 1 ven and one reg right now. And people get worried, so 6 would rule.
Space Wolves- 4,000 pts
Dwarves in progress
Yeah, youre right 6 dreads would totally rule. But the divergence trait requires that any dreads taken as elites must be venerable, and thus brings in the 0-1 requirement. Thus the most dreads you could take would be 4. Still enough to bring some serious pwnage to the table though. Venerables are nice though, especially if they follow the rules that are set forth in the Space Wolves codex (do they?). Strong in both cc and ranged combat, plus can force a reroll the damage of any glancing or penetrating hit (hard to kill).
The trait also says it removes the 0-1 limmit. says so right on the intry in the codex. so you can have 6 ven dreads too in an army.Originally Posted by Lord_Wallace
Yes and no. reg SM venerable dreads follow some rules, like the rerollable ap result, but not the one that rerolls the see who goes first dice at the begining of the game. new entry in 4th edition SM codex, again.
and as to the Land Speeder question, Hillcity Comics has pretty good prices on all GW stuff. That link will send you to the SM page. Hope that helps. If any one can beat that price, I would love to know, 'cause I'm in the market for a tornado speeder, dreadnough, some bloodclaws, and other...harder to come by parts.
