    Grandmaster model

is it alright if I just get a brother-captain, paint him differently from my knights and call him a Grand Master?

Tucker: just give her money, she'll do anything for money
    Tex: no I won't
Tucker: I'll give you 10$ to break grif's arm
    Tex: which one's grif?? ^_^
Grfi:   he's grif *motions to simmons*

perfectly acceptable. there's no grand master model, so while some ppl simply use stern instead, you can just as easily use the brother captain instead (i do it. i just paint his weapon with more gold to symbolize a force weapon, and other distinguishments)

Just put a big "bosspole" on him and you're set.

Yeah it is allowed to be done if you dont have any other Grandmaster models (even if you do)
Just make it clear to your opponent before you start the game what he is.

If you want to take your GM to a turney I suggest that you avoid any type of NFW variant that may be confused with any existing weapontype (thunderhammer/lightningclaw/powerfist). If you really want claws I suggest that you do some converting and add some seals.... most important however - only one claw (unless you buy him a powerweapon aswell).
