1 squad with:
1 sargent with blot pistol and cc weapon
3 marines with bolter
1 marine with flamer
1 squad with:
1 sargent with bolt pistol and cc weapon
3 marines with bloters
1 marine with rocket launcher
1 land speeder with multi melta
1 techmarine with full servo suit
2 tech servitors
2 gun servitors with heavy bolters
p.s. advise on any specal things i should give mys would be good too.
Cheese is good! :D
Change the two tech servitors into combat servitors because unless you plan on reparing the landspeader you wont need them. of course if your worried about WYSIWYG then you shouldnt, but most nice people wouldn't care.
also what is the total point cost of the army because it looks quite small.
His army is around the 650pts mark with the proper upgrades.
Do you want us to give you tips on what to buy or add next? Because if you do, i would say another tactical squad is your basic requirment.
First thing i can see is either give your marshal a pair of lightning claws or if you dont have the second claw, give him a powerweapon and a boltpistol/stormbolter. And also give him terminator honours and an iron halo.
I highly dont recommend having flamers in tactical squads, they only do well in assault squads or rhino tactical squads. Since this first squad is a close support squad, you should give the sergeant a powerfist . For you second squad, give the sergeant a boltgun since this is a ranged unit.
BT do pretty well in close combat so you'll also want to add assault squads and have some transport options for your tacticals squads.
EC always takes a BT army's Iron Halo.Originally Posted by southerneagle
So, in turn, I say snag a Chappy. Way over-used and such, but it's simply the best HQ choice SMs of any form can get.

Yea, for 15 extra points, you get a free iron halo equivilent, a power weapon, fearless, and mc weapons on the charge. Thats well worth the cost.
you might want to put some scouts in those tact squads, as thats one of the things that make BT different. Also, I think I know what you are going with the tech servitors, using them as sheilds, but I wouldn't even bother with servitors at all, but thats just me. My Techmarine commander gets hooked up with jp'less assault marines and they hoof it into the fray...

Nice post time XD...
id agree, i reccomend you do what i did:
Chaplain with jump pack with a 5 man assault squad with a vet seargent armed with a power fist.
great combination, took down half a tau army by themselves (i love sweeping advances) and their special charachter which made some guys retreat off the board
my super duper force

So Ok, Tac squads aint the shiney uber things everyone wants. But in say a 1.5k game, you should have at least three 8 man squads, if not more.
You may not be able to buy them yourself, but if you've got a birthday coming up, then you'll need more Tac squads in the long run, or start saving the pennies =^_~=

Sorry to say it, but with 4th edition sweeping advances no longer wipe out a unit. Friend of mine learnt that the hard way after I took out eighteen hormagaunts with two bikes.Originally Posted by Commander_Knag

I play BT also and have found out that you must have at least one squad staying behind with a lascannon to get rid of the tanks and monstoroeus creatures. also make your squads bigger because a five man squad is easily shot down.
A big difference with other army's is that BT don't have sergeants. instead you can give your models al the same equipment.
I would also consider buying a predator and/or whirlwind because they are always usefull.
one big hint: start as a normal chapter (shooty) and make it more and more assaulty. this is how you can make a decent army without losing that much in the beginning. you must make a compromis between "stand and shoot" and assault. BT have the advantige of being able to switch between these things.
Don´t mess with the dicegod
I thought that the EC's iron halo is not included in the army's total relic/artefact count.Originally Posted by Cypher-
But i do agree with a chaplain in an assault squad as it is also what i use in my army. I just thought that with a limited budget, he would use what he already has.
