    Power Armoured Grand Master

Could you get a grand master and then buy him power armour from the armoury. If so would he still get the +1 attack for termie honors.

no as the honors come from the terminator armor, and he cannot purchase terminator honors by itself

Yes, by paying the cost of Power Armor, you can give it to a GM. But you lose the invulnerable save & the ability to deepstrike as well. You DO gain True Grit though.

    .....

    WHY?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Why why why would you ever do something like that? You would not lose the +1 attack (it states that in the codex) but you would be losing the awesome powers and stuff and you would have to use a different model.

For fluff reasons I suppose... but... just no.

I have an awsome model idea in mind. It requires power/artificer armour and i'm going to build a small army around him not really to be competative but just for fun.

You could give him artificer armor and a refractor field or icon of the just to give the same save characteristics and then give him a bolt pistol, but doing that would cost an extra 36-41 pt. on an already expensive model. He's good enough as it is and an extra attack won't do a whole lot, especially if he's backed up by termies. It's a nice idea, but definately not worth the points. He kicks enough ass as is.

Dont think that I ever can be so downright low that I put the poor GM in a Powerarmour..

.. but rulewise it can be quite nasty:

    - The scary ones almost always have powerweapon anyway and if you plan to buy him a 4+inv.save the loss of 5+ wont matter.

    - You got an additional attack (does not apply for Art.armour).

    - Add him to a full GK squad w. an helpfull Justicar..

    - You can buy a boltpistol/plasmapistol !!!!

    - You can do SWEEPING ADVANCE!!!!

    GM+ boltpistol + Powerarmour + Icon = 181pts
    Always 6 x S6 w. Forceweapon..
4+ Invul . (mostly there wont be anything left that dont have powerweapons to strike anyway).

How do you get "Always 6 attacks?" If you give him a bolt pistol, he'll have five attacks (same as with a storm bolter) but he will be able to get a bonus attack for charging. Anyway, I don't think fluff would be a good excuse. Grand Masters come with Terminator armor by default because that's what they all wear, so you'd be going against the current fluff. Those advantages don't seem worth it anyway.

Since he got an powerarmour in the example he suddenly can take advantage of truegrit ie +1 A. But you are correct about the Stormbolter.. didnt thought about that.
