    Vetern Sargent Question

I was reading my SM codex and noticed it never said that Vet Sargents can only take weapons with 2 point costs. Does that mean that If I wanted to, I could give a vet sarge in a tac squad artificer armour, a jump pack, and 2 lightning claws? Juat wondering cause I want to have assault squads with the vet sarged armed with 2 lightning claws and artificer armour in my raven guard army.

And before someone mentions searching, I have no clue what to search for.

You can give your guy the claws, but why would you want the armour? It wouldn't even come close to being worth the points.

Thanks. So if I could do that, then its possible to have a termy sarge or something thats 140 pts. Also, it would mean you could give normal tac sarges Termy Armour and stuff. Not that that would be any better then Artificer, but its still good to know.

Firstly, it's usually too expensive to kit out a Sergeant in such a manner when it's only a one-wound model. Secondly, those items are actually cheaper for a Vet. Sergeant than for a command squad.

Twin lightning claws, for instance, would cost you twenty points as opposed to thirty. Isn't this wonderful?

I personally don't know why no-one does it.

Doesn't the two lightning claws option cost 30 pts? Anyways, I want the lightning claws because there's a bunch of really cool Raven Guard pics with them and its in the flavor for the pre-new codex rules.

If it lists 2 pts costs then 1 wound guys get the cheaper and multi-wound guys pay the larger. Phalanx, you are correct in your pts for the lighning claws.

Thnx. I had been wondering this stuff since the marine-boyz codex came out last November.
