about grand masters? they cost more points than a dreadnought, and the only advantages over a brother captain are the two extra wounds (perhaps the phycic abilities, I don't know)
so why are they so popular? 80 points more for 2 more wound
please tell me what is going on
Forceweapon, it's the only model that can have one
and what are the advantages of having a force weapon? what does it do?
If wielded by a grand master, it has the potential to kill any enemy outright. As long you cause a wound, and the enemy fails the armour save, you can kill outright if you pass an unmodified ld. test.
Thats why Grand masters are so good.
Grey knight squad 1
It's like a normal power weapon while bringing your str. to 6 but if you wound any multi-wound model (i.e. he misses atleast 1 save and takes atlest 1 wound), you roll your leadership (which is 10 in this case). If you pass it then the model you wounded dies automatically. That's that its works against every model in the game than can be insta-killed. Only things that can stop it is collar of khorne (prevents on a 2+) and Medallion Crimson for IG which stops the insta-kill for the first time only. Meaning you can insta-kill any model in the game. That's why its so great.
What about Deamonic Rune?Originally Posted by Emp.
Does it bypass that also?
No daemonic rune says no insta-kill in the summary but if you read the paragraph about it. It only works against things double the models toughness. So it works the same but against totally different things. If say a Wraithlord was attacking a daemon prince and scores a successful wound, daemonic rune would step in so that the DP wouldn't auto die b/c of the double toughness.
khornes collar is only thing to stop a GM from auto killing it
No collar of khorne doesn't always stop it. The wearer has to roll a d6 and on a roll of 2+ the force weapon's power is stopped. If he rolls a 1 then the force weapon can kill him outright.
ok but this is 1 of the only piece of ear to stop a NFW from kiiling outright
