If you have the old codex I think it is exactly the same so you don't have to bother downloading it. Also I think that the deathworld veterans, the troop choice, show the hardened fighters and jungle fighters doctrine but I beleive it only costs +3 per model. Cheaper I think.
Question though. Are the deathworld vets restricted troops, can they only be used in jungle fighter armies or are these units that cost no doctrine points and can undoutably strengthen a ig army in jungle?
It says in the new downloadable rules - "If you wish simply to add units of Deathworld Veterans to a standard Imperial Guard force, then you should make use of the Jungle Fighters Regimental Doctrine." Therefore, if Deathworld Veterans are not a unit that can be freely added to any Imperial Guard force.
The Imperial Guard is like a punchbag - No matter how hard you hit it, it'll always be ready for a fight.
Vcitory for the Imperial Guard comes about through the sacrifice of our men, not through the cowardly survival tricks of other armies.
An IG army that actually appeals to me...wow.
Anyone played using the new army list yet?
