In the Codex - A daemonhunters unit can only have units with no special qualities.
They basically have units that adhere strictly with the Codex Astartes.
Now we have the Tyrannic War Veterans, Does this rule still apply or would the T-War veterans become an exception?
Not sure if this has already been asked in the past, but just wondering of the result.
If this is in the wrong Sub-Forum, apologies.

People should be taught what is, not what should be.
Look at the TWV entry: "TVW are an elite choice that can only be used in Ultramarines armies." If your base army is Daemonhunters, it's a Daemonhunters army. Basically, TVW are equivalent to a special character - which cannot be used outside their base army.
Further evidence: You can only use vanilla marines as inducted troops. Ultramarines are NOT vanilla anymore, not with the new codex. Vanilla marines have no traits, no special characters, no special rules, nothing. Just stock-standard marines. TWV are specifically an UM unit, so are definitely out.

Yes, as long as the base army (UM) has the 1 HQ & 2 Troops, and the allied army (DH) follows the rules on page 21 of the DH codex, in the grey box (they mostly concern FOC slots).
