Do you think the Ultras really have a weakness to Nids? Every time I've seen the two fight, Ultra wins! What do you think is the Ultra's weakness to Nids?

Where did you get this idea? Well i dont think Ultras have a weakness to Nids. In fact i think fluffwise and gaming wise we should be the better if not the best army to fight the tyranid threats coming from the eastern fringes. Fluffwise, ultramarines are the main nid fighting chapter of the imperium. Dont forget that most of the first company are veterans because they have been fighting tyranids for the DW. And also Ultras have the tyrannic war veterans. I cant see why Ultras would have a weakness to the nids that other chapters wouldnt

it was always my assumption that since the ultra smurfs won the tyriannic war on there home planet, it gave them valuable experiance makeing them nid hunters,
thus hardening them aganst nids rather than makeing them weak to there attacks.
Seriously though! I mean, fluff-wise it makes sense, but shouldn't game balance give them a couple if not one weakness?
They are SM still at the end of the day. If they have a weakness, its the same as any other chapter.
Numbers. The fact that one SM company only has 100 men. So they would have around 1000 men altogether, 100 of which are scouts.
Though, remember, the Eastern Fringe isn't just patrolled by the Ultramarines.
Theres a fair few chapters kicking about, not to mention the countless IG regiments and PDFs, the Sisters and the Navy.

their weakness is that if a Guant leaps at a SMurf and sneezes, the SMurf will drop his guard and say "Emperor Bless You". this gives the Guant a split second to rip off his head!

Are we talking fluffwise or gaming?Its started off as gaming but got turned into fluff.Gaming id say that you cant say which is better,it all depends on the player.
gamewise all space marines runs the risk of getting swamped by the sheer number of gaunts and little buggers. The marines low numbers make them horribly vulnerable to this, and with so many attacks coming at so few people you could be in for a world of hurt...alternatively the nids could charge the marines and get stopped in their tracks by the sheer resilience of the marines, and then get counter charge by a nearby marine assault unit....it all depends on how good a player you are i guess
Never judge someone until you've walked a mile in their shoes...by that time they'll be a mile away, and have no shoes
every marine chapter has a strong point that isnĀ“t balanced with a counter rule (except vannila marines). so why should have the ultraĀ“s a weak point against the nids. a good nids commander can still make a heap of scrap out of ultraĀ“s.
