I have finally finished building and painting my army and am looking for reviews of it, My firend and i usually play 2000pt, games, tau, orks, and chaos
The one person whos army i have the most problems beating oddly enough is the chaos. He has a deamon prince which he puts most of his poinst into how can i imporve
grandmaster and 5 terminators(teleport)
inq. psycannon+retinue(3 gunsaviors)
6 storm troopers
5 grey knights (teleport)
my main tactic is to rush with the inq. lord and as he runs into the enemy lines the rest of the grey knights teleport, or my grand master + retinue teleport behind the enemy lines and target enmy armor.
Seeing your strategy, drop two of the dreads and one rhino. You're going to need more bodies as you will undoubtedly be outnumbered. Battling a chaos army with only 10 grey knights is pushing it. I suggest you get at least two more squads of PAGK to bulk up your army, especially given the fact you plan to make it a CC spectacle. The dread is definately a good choice for more stable anti-tank option. Storm troopers are gonna get chewed up for cc, so bulk up with some GK.
i like the dread for daemon hunters i would drop rhinos and get more dudes, and mabye lighten son of the iquisitor stuff to get more bodies, but i mean its your army and you do what ever with it youll have to tell me how that list works for you
i'd normally say sack out the assault inq., but if you give him a teleport homer, and get out of the vehicle on turn one (using the chimera as cover, of course), you could bring GKs closer (remember, you can bring em in 6" around you)
as stated before, you lack numbers. drop one dreadnought to fill up your IST numbers. i also hope they have special weapons, or you're really wasting them (and two of the same weapon in the squad. never mix em up).
it would really help us if we knew exactly what everyone was equipped with. what do the dreadnoughts have. what is the assault inq. carrying?? what about the stormtroopers?
"One thing that intrigues people to fantasy is how different it is from reality. Make sure you remember that difference, and you'll have a wonderful time."
ok, the stormtrooper squads would be armed with either plasma or meltaguns, along with assault oriented Vets. The grey knight teleport squad would be armed with incinirators?
I wouldn't recommend geting an assaulty stormtrooper vet. Why? because stormtroopers are not good in CC. Now giving your vet sgt. a teleport homer I don't mind. However giving them any sort of boost in CC is generally not a good idea. The pts you spend on him alone could buy more Grey knights or more storm troopers.
I think this should be in the army lists forum and the title should be Daemonhunters. This should also be set out in the proper way. Anyway,
I do not think that CC tooled IST work well, although the teleport homer works well. Please be more specific:
1) what is the retinue
2) what are the dreads armed with
