i've considered for a while starting a radical Dhunters army, just for the fun of it, and i'm wondering if i can use witch hunters as allies? i haven't see anywhere in the codex that i can't, but i'm not sure..
i know it's quite unfluffy, but i'll also make some good fluff for the army if i go through with the project...

According to Pg 25 of the WH Codex. they may be taken as allies by a DaemonHunters army, although there are some restrictions on what can be taken.
sisters can be taken but usually there's barely anything good in the sister's of battle to put in your daemonhunters. They already have all the good stuff.
if you weren't fielding ISTs and only GKs as troops, i could see SoB being fitted in (multi meltas and heavy bolters, anyone?) however, radicals don't get as much use out of SoB as they do, say... Space marines or IG (SMs get stronger list of heavy weapon choices, like rocket launchers and lascannons, and guard play a strong support role for radicals.)
"One thing that intrigues people to fantasy is how different it is from reality. Make sure you remember that difference, and you'll have a wonderful time."
thanks for clearifying that, and i'm happy that i can use them. the reason i want to use them is that i don't want to use IG, since i don't like any of the units, except the storm troopers, which i will get anyway. and i don't want to use SM, since i already have a space wolves army and a night lords army. i don't want another T 4 3+ save army.
in the end i'll see what happens. i haven't really thought of financing the army yet, so it might be a little while before it happens. but i like the idea of a radical ordos malleus inquisitor who has tricked/convinced some SoB to do his bidding.
and maybe i'll add a sqaud of deathwatch as well.
i don't want it to be a super-power-gaming-army. i prefer fun armies instead, as i'm not that competitive a gamer..
Sounds fun to have indeed.
Post a list when you have it available...

Of course you can, though I wouldn't (unless you want to be a cheapskate with your points =-). The whole radical philosophy is just the "other side" of looking at the whole "is the warp a bad thing?" question. Plus it might involve taking a couple Penitents in your Lord's retinue. But that is totally up to you.
i probably won't get around to making a list in the nearest furture, but here's how i would start out/what i've got in mind.
a tooled up Dhunter inquisitor lord with retinue and transport (possibly a land raider..)
maybe a deatwatch squad (with a librarian? hehe... or not, with the SoB so close..)
assassin (one of them, they're all cool, and it depends on what i need.. probably callidus)
deatch cult assassins
2 squads of IST
a sqaud of SoB or two..
Orbital bombardment (the one with AP 1)
i haven't counted over even a rough estimate of the pionts cost, but it's probably too much for a 1500 pts army, which is my goal.
If I am not mistaken, if you wanted to, you could have a DH army with inducted IG and allied WH. Fun.
