    question about base sizes

i am modelling a converted grand master. I wanted to use a base that is slightly larger than the regular Terminator bases in order to support the conversion. Irrespective of whether or not this is prudent from a strategic gaming standpoint, would this be legal if i wanted to use the piece in a tournament?

Yes, you're allowed to put a model on any base equal to or larger than that model's standard sized base. Just don't get TOO large, or you'll really shoot yourself in the foot gameplay-wise.
