It really comes down to how much money you are willing to spend.

One way is to get the SM battleforce avaliable as this box contains most of the basic units.

Another way is to get a couple of SM combat squads.

In addition in both cases you'll need a HQ, the Chaplain is a good and cheap suggestion.

Also, you might consider the varients from the deathwing and ravenwing. Unique armies are always kind of fun and those two are fairly unique, although perhaps not the best choice for a first army.

Dark angels... first off I suggeset u get a DA codex, a SM, and alternitavely a rule book, a pain set and some brushes... and as MasterBelial said, It really comes down to how much money you are willing to spend.

There's no such thing as too much . But you'll need at least one more tac squad for it to be legal.

I wouldn't' suggest the bikes and land speeder in the beginning, as now it's the time for u to expand with troops and HQ... check ur codex for more details...

They're good for adding a little mobility to the army, most ppl starting a SM army take a land speeder, multi-melta would be the best option for armament.

anyhow... I don't think it suits in the army, as it dies too fast, and costs a bit much...

The Land Speeder can die fast if you put it out in the open, but it packs a powerful weapon or two and can run around to get a quick shot or two at a target of choice. Even if it dies after that, if you make that shot count, it can be very worth it. The bike squad would be a very good choice, since they are fast and tough. You do need to throw in another troop choice though. A tac squad or a scout squad would both be good choices.
