ya im really confused.....it says how good BA are in CC, but their tactical squads dont even have CC weapons. what i mean to ask is if the codex says u r armed with only bolters, u get no attacks in CC, but y do they give u the characteristics of attacks, initiative, strength, etc. can some1 plz clear this up 4 me, ty.
P.S. O and please tell me if u dont get those CC attacks, if u can even attack in CC, or what. TY
yeh you see on the profile it says 1 attack well you attack with that 1 attack to hurt orks and various other minor races thats why all modles have 1 attack or they wouldnt do WS I S and all that,
......I dont get it.......
All models regardless of what they are armed with may make a number of attacks in close combat equal to their attacks characteristic, thye need not be armed with a close combat weapon to do so, this represents punching kicking and pistol whipping.
In your example a standard tactical marine gets 1 Attack at his intiative and at his strength allowing his opponent to take armour saves afterwards.
If a model charges it may make one extra attack identical to the first, thus your marine would have 2 attacks during an assault phase in which he charged.
well what advantages does a CCW give u?
An extra attack in close combat, provided it is taken with another close combat weapon or a single handed weapon. So a model with a single handed bolt pistol and a Close combat weapon would have 2 attacks normally, and 3 if it charged into combat.
The Imperial Guard is like a punchbag - No matter how hard you hit it, it'll always be ready for a fight.
Vcitory for the Imperial Guard comes about through the sacrifice of our men, not through the cowardly survival tricks of other armies.
+1 attack for charging
+1 attack for to closecombat weapons. This includes pistols and things like power swords, etc. mainly anything else that can't shoot.
"DICE FOR THE DICE GOD!"
And the almighty Dice God said to his followers "Thou shalt not speak ye words "anything but a one" For thou whoever'st speaketh this blasphemy will be cursed with thy rolls being of one".
Blood angels are so good in close combat because, although they are standard marines (with are formidable in close combat to begin with), Blood angels get one plus strength and one plus initiative in the turn that they charge. This means they get the extra attack for charging and are stronger and faster for that turn. next turn they do not get the bonus unless they have charged again though
Never judge someone until you've walked a mile in their shoes...by that time they'll be a mile away, and have no shoes
A question on two handed weapons, can you take a two handed weapon and two single handed weapons then use the two handed weapon for shooting and the two close combat weapons for close combat?
