for WYSIWYG does one need to model many of the traits onto the model? mainly stuff like furious charge, trust your battle brothers, see but dont be seen, suffer not the work of heretics etc.?
All you need to show them is that you've paid for the ability. For TYBB, I'd recommend massing some chainswords and other close combat weapons and putting them on your Marines that have them. It's purely optional, but it adds flavor to the army.Originally Posted by beiltan2003

The training/faith-based traits are pretty much impossible to model. I mean how do you model 'Never despair' anyway? The equipment traits are different though and I think you should at least make an effort to show it on the models. TYBB can be represented with bayonets, close combat weapons or chainswords for example.
I paint camo on units with "see but not seen". Not really necessary, though.
