Give me help on dealing with each tyranid unit?
Lascannon, lots of them Plasma doesn't hack it against T7 and melta will rarely get into range.
Hellhounds, Heavy bolters. Lots of heavy bolters.
Heavy bolters are your best choice, they can punch through warriors down to gaunts and you will need stacks of them.
If you can spread your units 7" appart so they can't consolidate into you then a Flamer will work well to cook gaunties.
Every time you read this sig: a fairie dies!
These threads are about the old 'nids but should still be of use.

Tanks work fine.
Always get the Leman russ with 3 heavy bolters, it is very cheap, and you can fire on the move, if the battle cannon is destroyed, or if the nids are too spread out.
A demolisher is sure to receive a lot of unwelcome attention...good thing since it's a tough nut to crack.
Don't take chimeras, too fragile, and who cares about manoeuvering against nids? You don't want your guards to get any closer to them.
I never play ogryns or riders, but a squad or two of them may be useful as suprise counter attack.
Beside that, take lots of infantry with special and heavy weapons. Don't spend too many points on veteran sergeants or fancy equipment.
Like wings of doom said, heavy bolters, they deal well with all the smaller and mid sized tyranids. Dont bother with flamers hopefully you dont plan on getting that close and if you do get that close to them its gonna hurt, even a loan hormagaunt can cause a good bet of damage to a unit on its on. i say pour everything you got into the little guys, except tanks with lascannons and big cannons they need to deal with the big bugs. Your worries need to be with the hormagaunts especially, that leaping 12" can catch u off guard same with raveners moving 9" and gargoyles flying 12". Because your waisting valuable lasgun fire when a 2 man team with a bassoka or lascannon fire at a big bug and miss when all of the squad could have fired at an incoming swarm of little bugs that are going to slaughter you next turn. Anyway kill the smaller guys and fast ones first and let tanks deal with the big and tough tyranids. The advantage you have my friend is range, so use it!. And if you get into close combat with them your pretty much dead

Lascannon: all the way. Take at least 4-5 of them. That way you can pretty much count on eliminating at least one big beastie a turn.
Autocannons: Can hep make SURE those pesky warriors abnd whatnot die. Not oto many of htese though.
Heavy bolters: Take them LOTS of them, waste the smaller guys fast.
FOr the points... A plasma gun might not do you too much good if you have enough heavy weapons. More troops with more Lasguns will help immensly.
Tanks: Basilisk can hurt more, but has weak armor. I agree with Heavy bolter Russ's. THough the Ordnance is almost always a bette bet against nid players.
SCREW TO THE HIGH HEAVENS, shooting The Big One's first. SO what if they lose synapse? WASTE the fast one's first. Ravenor's/ Gargoy;e's/Gaunt's. These will be what kills the majority of IG players. Not the big guys. Big guys are slow, unless a winged tyran..and event hen he'll do less damage a turn than a squad of gaunts.
FIring Lines: THis way whent hey start getting close, you can falla squad back and the other can still fire ot full effect.
Split your army, don't give the nids oen big tasty target to chomp on, amke them split it up, though do it evenly so they don't have an easy decision to make. If it goes heavy on one, wlel some are ognna die anyway but the bulk canlive by firing from relative safety.
Detailed Firing Plan: I have seen an IG General in our Toourney eliminate the nid threat without it EVER getting into CC, but with ONE unit. In your opening turns, concentrate EVERYTHING, even the russ's, ESPECIALLY the ordnace into punching holes in little guys, take out those gaunts/Ravenors/Gargoyles. Most don't expect this,t hey want to see youa ttack their big baddies..save them for last. Dedicate your heavy weapons to taking out Warriors/ IF you take out the synapse creatures then they have to bunch up..this is EXTREMELY good news for ordnance. ANd when you are thin out hte numbers, target aquisition becomes easier. Because if your Heavy weapons and tanks are spread out,a nd you STILL have basic squads that are free from CC? It becomes a real hard decisionw hat to use the big nasty weapons on.
Remember this: Powerweapons/ waste of points. Two gaunst dead with no saves isn't gonna matter.
And most important...Nid players LOVE he big guys with wet sloppy kisses...but they DEPEND On the little guys to get the job done. Thin and waste the numbers,a nd all you;'ve got is decision's on what big guys die next.

If you can punch holes in their synapse coverage, you can delay the little guys for quite awhile. This doesn't work against 'stealers, you'll have to shoot them.
Spread your army out and consider using several "expendable units" as a speed bump to buy another round of shooting for the squads behind them. If there is a ton of cover on the board and you don't have good fields of fire, realize that you are pretty well screwed. This is typically the case with any army fighting 'nids.
Artificial Intelligence is no match for Natural Stupidity.
Leman Russ Exterminator and Conqueror. They can both fire on the move and put down a lot of lead.
