    Why dont you use the Grey Knight troops as fast attack instead? Or mayhap thats what you plan for?

    Yeah thats a good idea. That will leave 4 slots for troops and 1 for fast attack.

    Im having a little trouble trying to make my daemonhunters army effective at a nice 1500 points. I would like a squad of 5 termies and min/max of 20 grey knights. I also like the idea of grandmaster, but looking how expensive he would be for upgrades and retinue made me reconsider for inquisitor lord.

    How could i make my inquisitor lord w/ retinue in chimera a pure assault squad. (i have the inquisitor w/ right hand w/ sword stuck on ground and left hand w/ boltgun.

    My final problem is daemonhunters and their lack of anti tank squads. I was thinking lance strike, but after the first turn or so taht it comes into play, i knew it wouldnt be so affective knowhing that tanks are maneuverable. Purgation squad was not my choice, thinking that strength 6 could not punch through a land raider, and a dreadnought popped up but i thought it could be taken out way too easily by the enemy tanks.

    What are good tanks hunters?

    That Inq model with the helmet? He is one of the coolest models =P . I just finished painting him myself.

    Hmmm. Get stormies with Plasmaguns or meltaguns (whichever suits your methods well. Plasma for moveing Stormies and Melta for nonmoveing) .

    Or just tool an Inq/GK GrandMaster upwith some Chainfist or some other devestating tank killer gear =P .

    I myself only use Plasmaguns for antitank.

    But seriously concider a GK GM for your HQ, as he is a really mean motherf***er. Just equip him to be a tank killer. Get 4+ ward save, and a Chainfist, and whatever you feel in nessecary =) . Even a Brother Captain will do fine for tank killing, I think, if you field him as a HQ and give him those same upgrades.

    Remember that you cannot be tank shocked, and if someone tries that, you autopass the Ld test (fearless) and get an opportunity to get that tank. And even an ordinary GK has the potential to get any armour 12 veichle off of the table in CC =) .

    And if you go for GK GM, you can just cut down your initial Termie squad to a BCapt + 2 Termies, and get 3 termies for the retinue. It will be abit more pts for termies, but you get a sickeningly hard HQ =P . And since the GK are fearless, having 3 Termies in a Squad isnt really that big a deal, as they wont run even if one or two dies.

    don't u mean melta for moving and plasma for not moving??? as both have 12' on moving but plasma has 24' on standing still

    i would suggest melta as they are better for tanks and can also shoot same distamnce on movement

    also, isn't your inquisitor lord too over priced??

    for: Inquisitor Lord with Force Weapon, Bolt Pistol, Consecrated Scrolls i work it out to be 45+40+1+5 which equals 91 points not 232 (where did u get this number??????) i would also give him terminator armour (2+,5+) or artificer armour and icon of the just (2+,4+ and u can ride in a rhino) as i notice he only has his 3+ save

    this point change should remove some and make it easier to fit in a 1500 pt. list

    i would remove the psycannons for incinerators or NFW if u are deep-striking and psycannons are useless in this job

    i would only take one familiar as it still gives u the +1 I and u aren't using the addionational psychic powers so 2 is useless

    u could make BC a tank killer as he can have any equipment if he is taken as an elite(same as HQ) and this would help the tank issue a bit (i find hammerhand a cheap, useful extra tank-hunting piece to help out if needed)

    i woudl also possibly remove the icon's of the just as they are the same price as an additional GK and we need as many models as we can get (extra GK is also probably better in long run)

    give the justicars meltabombs to help out against tanks and can also Death and Glory if need be (risky but possibly a game winner)

    i think a dreadnought would be a good anti-tank killer and is also useful in combat (if u don't give it a missile launcher) however, u need a GK hero so u will have to switch BD to HQ but it won't change a thing

    can't think of anything else at this moment

    Yes, I meant what you said about the plasma/melta thing there max_volumenz. I guess I was tired =) .

    Anyways, I totally agree on loosing Icon of the Just! Worthless on Justicars. Get another Termie for that, or perhaps two GKs.

    Im still advising you togo GM with retinue and cutting your Termies in half

    Or just forgetting the retinue and getting another BrotherCaptain for tank hunting.

    And change those Psycannons for Incinerators or just for NFW/Stormbolter, since they wont really matter. Get them for the termies instead. They use them as Heavy Weapons even when they move, so they are really really good for use with Psycannons.

    Hmm. Teleport Homer for your Stormtrooper Veterans, to Deep Strike efficiently (no scatter! yay&#33 .

    Erm... Damnit, you are getting me in that "make more armylists" mood .

    But take our thoughts into concideration at least .

    I dont think you can have more than one icon of the just in one army. Id swap the Inquistor with a Grand Master, Make the Grey Knights fast attack, Gets some Guardsmen, and take an assasain

    You could take an assassin, but only if you feel it is a good buy. You might not need one, or you might feel its nessecary. They are formidable characters, to say the least, yet they do have very specific tasks.

    And you can have as many Icon of the Just as you want to (or within limits of course ) .
