yea hoard armys like orks n nids n that
how the hell do u get close enough with out bein close enough to be overwhelmed by minion hourds...
it aint ordanance is it? ah well
mass army of obliterators?
can someone also tell me the point of multi meltas in a retribbutor squad?? its heavy so any comanders worth their salt will move vehicles away from 12" of them.. then that jus turns em into st8 ap1 weapons.... why not take another bloody exorcist??
Your post is very hard to understand. You use several question marks without asking questions. The only part I did understand was the request for the MultiMelta option's points value. I do not have my codex on me now so cannot answer that. I suggest next time you post you overlook your post before submitting it, checking spelling, and using correct grammar. It make it a lot easier for other people to help you if they understand what you're trying to say.
Very carefully. Seriously. Massed flamer fire, the idea being that you kill the entire unit or do enough damage that they run away. Against Orks if you can pare them down enough, it becomes in your best interest to pre-emptively charge them.Originally Posted by crucialNope, not Ord. but it can be devastating to monstrous creatures in a 'Nid force or the 'Ard Stuff in an Ork army.Exorcist??
It aint ordanance is it? Ah well...Um, Obliterators are a Chaos unit. What are you talking about here?mass army of obliterators?Heavy bolters are one of the best non Ord. ranged weapons against hoard armies, and a Retributor squad can have four of them. Mount them in an Immolator with TL Heavy bolters or Heavy Flamers for a little extra punch.retributors?Sisters with multi-meltas have their use. They serve as more of an area denial weapon than a real offensive asset. You think that a dreadnought will come within line of sight of the squad? Even without the extra penetration die, S8 AP1 is nothing to be ignored. It will also take more than one shot to take out a squad of sisters as compared to a single vehicle. To answer your last question, many people do just take another Exorcist, but according to the history if the Adeptus Sororitas, Exorcists are very rare machines. Rare to the point that there would be only a handful in the entire order and they would not be fielded other than singularly except in very large battles. If you only care about min/max gaming, do whatever you want, but if you want and army that fits the sprit of the game as well as the letter, then Battle Sisters will provide the bulk of your fire. Can someone also tell me the point of multi meltas in a retributor squad? It's heavy so any commander worth their salt will move vehicles away from 12" of them.. Then that just turns em into st8 ap1 weapons.... Why not take another bloody exorcist?
As was addressed in the previous post, check your spelling and grammar. Present yourself as an intellegent human being and people will be more likely to help you because they will not feel like they are wasting their time talking to a moron or someone who just doesn't care...
Artificial Intelligence is no match for Natural Stupidity.
 Saying that, Mike, you had two spelling mistakes in your post!
Zealots are good against hordes if you give them exterminators. 20 Flamer attacks (presuming you have a squad of 20) just before combat can't be a bad thing at all!
Whats a zealot?
The fastest way of killing mass amounts of hordes is filling an immolator with I think they are dominions (the girls with 4 special weopons) give em 4 flamers and dump em near the gaunts or whatever and flame them to hell.
an interesting observation I have made in my games is that battle sisters are the only elite army that are better at hoard armies than they are against other elite armies. Armies like Marines and Chaos have a lot of trouble against Orks and Nids simply because their opponent has more models than they have shots!
Sisters are an elite army with well armored, and well armed infantry. When facing lots of tanks, they might as well be carrying spit wads. Other elite armies would be lucky to have so many spit wads against hoard armies though.
Although they do have exorcists but not that good at surviving, other than that amen brother. my little guys always get killed by SoBs cause of all the flamers and bolters.
I have to disagree with whats been said about Flamers, althought good close up, thats not where you want to be vs a Horde army, cuz even if you manage to wip out the unit guess what? theres 6 more right behind it!
So vs a Horde army I would take a Dominion squad with 5 Storm Bolters and an Immy with HBs and Blessed Ammo, this lets me shoot them and hopefully get 2 or more rounds of shooting in before I either have to use the "Tactical Retreat'' of be overrun in CC.
Although the Flamer Domion Squad would be good at taking out an Isolated unit, I prefer range in these situations as they alloww you a bit more slack.
More than one Exorcist IMO should only be taken vs Nids with more than 2 TMCs, other wise take more Immys with Heavy Bolters and Blessed Ammo, more shots in the end IMO.
This is based on how I play and should not be taken offence against.
