Recently, with my trusty Leman Russ, I completely obliterated an entire squad of ten fully equipped Assault Marines in one shot, the dice Gods were with me and the shot didn't scatter :p
What has been everyone else's best One-Shot-Pie Plate kills?

...And they shall fear the lasgun
Bassie Kill-1st turn necron monolith that was the warp in point for two squads of necrons. its fun taking close to half of someones army(1500 pts) out in one shot, i got around 700 VP with that one shot and won the game by a pretty big margin as you can imagine.
1st turn shot under third ed. rules (when you didn't have to center the pie plate on a model/front armor of tank), I destroyed a predator, a dreadnought, and killed 4 SMs.
Even better, my pie plate once scattered behind a cover where my sneaky eldar opponent had a Falcon, 2 vypers, and his eldar "mortar"weapons. Falcon obliterated with the scorpions it carried, one vyper destroyed, the other with weapon destroyed, and 1 heavy weapon destroyed....BOOOM
I killed a squad 4 of 6 grey knights with a barbed strangler and a Land raider filled with termies, only 2 remained.
Back when you had to fit all the deepstriking models under the pie plate I took out every single Gaunt in a squad. Then did it to some Genestealers, and finally another squad of Gaunts. Next time....he didn't do any deepstrike. Oh, this was with a Tau Railgun Submunition Round.

It didn't happen to me, but my buddy got a turn 2 Ordinance Penetrating 6 on a Land Raider full of Grek Knight Terminators and their IC.
His opponent lost over 800 points in that one shot.
Needless to say he won round two of that tournament.
My personal best was almost three years ago now. A LRC with 8 BT Termies in it pulled up to my guardsmen. He got out, shot and then failed his charge so they were just sitting there. I put the nearby Demolisher template over the Termies and over the LRC. In the end, only ONE Terminator was left alive and the LRC was a crater.
Having been at the revieving end of these pie plates, the most traumatic of these was when a Battlecannon took out the Red Terror and his retinue of 5 raveners in 1 shot. I ended up winning though, mostly because his shots all scattered from that point on.
Dreams give us a vision of a world unlike any we have seen. They present us with a glimpse of a better life; a goal to aspire to, and in the face of insurmountable odds, they provide us with the power to overcome, to live on, and to succeed where we would have otherwise failed.
My best was a DS squad of 8 Shooty Terminators with a Missle Launcher and Assault Cannon. I had to move my Demolisher from behind cover, so I had a 2D Scatter, I though I might be lucky to kill two.
I stuck the scatter, and I killed 6 of 8 Terminators ( i had one 1, and he passed one Invulnerable save ), my Grenadier squad popped out of the back of a Chimera and killed the other two with Plasma!

The best...that's hard.
okay, the most memorable for me was when i was playing the famed non-phaseable necrons. a battlecannon landed on a 1 wound Nightbringer and the Monolith, acing the only two models on the board for my opponent. so much for that idea...
though when i started playing in 3rd ed, i was used to the likes of the HQ bash in the centre of the board while the armies duke it out around them. these were usually multi-play battles, and we ruled that you could shoot into combats without your troops in it. also, we were fond of using special characters. Pie plates usally ended up claiming Abbadon, Eldard, Calgar, and an SM commander, each with their own accompanying retinues.
aah, good times, good times...
