im debating on which assassain is the best overall
obviously the culexeus is a premierly a psker fighter(and he can yell at every one within in a 12" radius yelling U have ldship 7!!)
the vindacare in my mind is the coolest. hes how a sniper should be and u cant see him if hes +36 inchs away(teach the sargents why they should wear helmets)
the callidus is cool cause she can move enemy units and apper anywhere on the battlefield
the evesor is also cool
4-9 attacks while charging with something that wounds on +4 and allows no saves what so ever bye bye mist carnifex
i own none yet and am debating which should be my first purchase
Eversor is probably the best over all, followed closely by Callidus...Followed by culexeus and my worst rank would be a Vindicare
Being able to target IC's and Sargents is nice, but he gets 1 shot a turn..Not much use imo.
especially when he wounds only half the time

True. Except for the Hellfire shot, which lets you wound easier. Otherwise, you wound half the time. This means, you'll basically be getting only 3 of your shots through, hitting, then wounding, in a regular 6 turn game, assuming he doesn't get interupted by the enemy, during all 6 turns.
And by the way, I believe the Eversor actually has 1 more attack than you think...don't forget the 2 CCWs rule...so that means 5-10 when charging, actually. (now i'm afraid that I may be breaking the rules by telling too much stuff).
The callidus' ability to go through invuln saves, makes her good for anti-HQ. Especially when you can appear right next to the target enemy and assault the next turn. But don't forget to shoot...even though usually your enemies will have a high Ld, at least you won't be making a to hit roll, only a to-wound.
So, if you bring this all together...the Callidus is more of a HQ killer, the eversor is good with either rank and file troops, or high toughness troops. The Culexus, as you said is obviously a psyker killer, which is good because it looks like they're bringing psyker back into 40k. The new SM codex has new rules giving chapters psyker rules, so they may give the new Eldar codex more psyker rules as well, making the Culexus more viable and useful (right now he's only really good against some psyker heavy Tyranids, and Ulthwe Eldar.) Finally, there's Vindicare, who is really only good for specific applications, even though many take him for the coolness of it. Vindicare can be used, if you know you'll be fighting Chaos with very few icon bearers (like 1 or 2) and tons of daemons. This means you can effectively take out the icon bearers in the squads, so they can't summon the daemons, and bam, there goes a bunch of points. You can also use him to generally confuse the enemy or piss him off. Many people will say that he doesn't get his points back, even if you go after heavy weapons guys, or some squad leaders with power fists/weapons. Yes, he won't necessarily kill his worth of points back, but remember that this means he won't be able to use those weapons against you, which may save you some guys, or even a tank, if you took out a lascannon. So Vindicare isn't exactly the worst, he's just sometimes hard to find a use for.
So there you go, another opinion. Personally, I like Eversor, because of his awesomeness against high T enemies, but Callidus can really mess up the enemies HQ squad.
The Callidus is so freaking good, definitely the best, but I like the Eversor (haha! DIE!! Die, stewpid Plague marines, die!!) Pixel would be correct about the Eversor's attacks. The Vindicare is higly innefective, and the Culexus is useless. Unless you're playing Ulthwé, or Synapsed-out nids. I hope Pixel is right about the more psyker thing. That would make it much more useful...
++EDIT++ and if fighting T 3 guys with an Eversor (for some strange reason) don't use the Neuro-gauntlet's special CC attack so you get better than a IV + (probably broke some rules before that..)

A man's at odds to know his mind, for his mind is aught he has to know it with.

That's how 40k SHOULD work, but it's not quite that simple. Those attacks on the profile are, amazingly, Close Combat attacks. He only gets to make three attacks when he's fighting Hand to Hand combat.Maybe I have been totally playing wrong, but since he gets 3 attacks, he gets 3 shots a turn, right?
Each weapon in the game will come with it's own stats, and those stats will include how many shots it gets.
Yes, 40k should be more of a shooting game, but for some reason it's 40,000 years in the future and people are still charging other people who have guns. Go figure.
The vindicare can be ok in city fight, as he can take neuro toxins
I personnally have a eversor in my collection and he can slaughter any troops. He also has meltabombs so he can easilty destroy anything you want. His pistol is also quite good. Over all, i would say:
3.Vindicare- Anti-Hidden power fist/sergeant
4.Cluxera- Anti Psyker
I agree with hourg1asss, that is how 40K SHOULD work, after all, you don't see people in modern warfare charging there enemies, do you, and the guns in 40K must be much more powerful
The Apples are here! They've come for the teddy! Save the Cucumber! :)Let X=X- Laurie Anderson :)I met this guy, and he looked like he might have been a hat check clerk from an ice rink, which, infact, he turned out to be. And I said "oh boy, right again."
well modern armies dont have 3 inch thick battle suits and there are no aliens
charging allows armies to be varied if all armies were like the tau that woulndt be fun
so so far its between evesor and callidus
Vindicare should have more shots. You know. A double-shot sniper rifle, or make it so that it can insta-kill so it's actuall useful against HQ's.
