im debating wheather or not to buy imperial armor in the near future
there are many factors to consider
the sample pages look great but i dont own the book
here are my points of view
1. cost per page is the same as an imperial guard codex(bout 33 cents a page)
2. it seems really detailed and looks like it has a lot of fluff
3.it's a statement that you are a hardcore gamer
4.i love tanks.alot
5. its got to last while
1.90 dolllllllarrrss (including shipping)
2. my mom was shocked when i spent 35 buck on a chimera im sure shell love me spending 90 dollars on a book(though she does like me to read)
3. most the stuff in the book costs alot(super eavies anyone)
4.i do not have a job(too young)
5. have 3 young siblings chances are itll get mishandled some times(though if i do get it ill treat it like increibly well)
6. while the book may last for my life time 4th edition 40k wont(hopefully 4th will change to 5th when have my own life and can afford to spend 90 dollars on a book)
so how has your experiences with the book gone?
If you plan on playing tourneys, most of the stuff in it is useless. The FW unique stuf is not tournament legal. If you are funds limited, it is probably the worst possible way to spend your money. You could add two tanks or an infantry squad or four, you know, things you could actually use.
Artificial Intelligence is no match for Natural Stupidity.
Try to find someone who has it and photo copy the pages with rules. Im like 98% sure its only illegal (at least in the U.S.) if they sell it to you, and if they wont do it without getting some money then find someone else.
by the way, my mom hates it when I spend %15 on a ravener.
Well, I love my copy of IA and I've playtested most of the stuff in there. Well.. the things that interest me atleast. Screw sentinel powerlifters and such crap. :p
However, I am going to buy some of the things in the book, but if you can't afford it then I would recommend you not to get it. It's a bit expensive if you're not able to use it as anything but an interesting read.
Few questions you have to ask yourself.
a.) are you going to be using the items that your purchasing from the book?
b.) or could your money be better spent elsewhere like buying $90 worth of new models
from the main lines.

I wouldn't buy it if I were you. It sounds like you could use that money to buy more models for your army. If you want to use Imperial armor, there is probably someone at your local store who has it, just ask around.Since you have a limited budget anways, you really be able to use anyof the stuff in there since Forge World models are so expensive. If you're looking for fluff, there are plenty of places online with alot of official GW fluff. Good luck with your army.
What? Over? Did you say "over"? Nothing is over until we decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no!

My thoughts exactly, if you can't afford the $90 book, money says your won't be buying any of the cool super heavies, titans, or flyers any time soon. sorry mate.I wouldn't buy it if I were you.
