I'm not impressed by any of the models for Inquisitors that GW puts out, so I've thought about changing the model. So far I've been looking at possibly using the Commander Azreal model from the Dark Angels line, but any other models that would make a good Inquisitor, I would love to hear.
For those who wish to know, mine is going to be a radical inquisitor. I'm still crossing my fingers for an Eisenhorn model when the Ordo Xenos models are released.
I just realized what I titled this thread. The reason this isn't in the conversion forum is because I hope to do minimal conversion, I just want a model I can substitute in for an Inquisitor. Something that has a similar look that I could change the paint scheme on.
i think lord solar machurias would make a good inquistor but that is just me. he has all the golden armour with a bolt pistol and staff he just looks like the eptiom of a snobby inquistor lord. but then hes probably a puritan looker so i think you could probably convert the DE archon without a helmet in to a dark and mean looking female inquistor.
Which Halo character are you?
You talk alot, you don't do much, but at times you can be invaluable.
If you want one that looks mysterious, check out the tech priest engine seer for the IG line. that's what i will be using in my WH if i ever decide i need him.
Another possibilty is the Chaos Lord for CSM. As you said, you want to do minimal conversion and, with him being radical, all you would have to do is take the Space Marine head out, maybe replace it with a grenade or pistol, and file off the more obvious of the chaos symbols.
1500 years ago everybody knew the Earth was the center of the Universe
500 years ago everybody knew the world was flat
5 minutes ago you knew humans were alone on the planet
Imagine what you'll know tomorrow
Use a Dark Angel Vet Sergeant body (robes over power armor), and then attach whatever power-armored arms/weapons you like. Minimal iconography removal, if you look carefully at the DA Vet models (since at least one of them has only one visible DA symbol on the body). If you were going puritan, I'd use GK arms, but that's no good.
Actually, you could buy the SM Commander box set - it has TONS of bitz, and just about every weapon choice (excluding GK-specific ones). It also has =][= shoulder pads, which would be handy.
I'm actually using the SM commader box and the Command squad box to make an Inquisitor and Rituine, its more of a Fluffy Retuine, as not all the models can Have power armor, but most of the people I play won't mind so long as I warn them before hand.
But yeah I have tons of awsome bitz right now, if only you could get 2 lightning claws......
I got some pics I'll try to work on and post up somewhere, at the moment there oinly stuck together with blu-tac, and theres some converting to do but right now I'm working on my GK Dread.
PS: 1001th POST w00t!!!!!!
I used a Dark Angel vet body and green stuffed a hood over his head. I used the Daemon hammer from Coteaz and a white scar biker shield arm(to represent the icon of the just), and to finish him off I modelled a scratch built shoulder mounted Psycannon with ammo backpack and ammo feed.Originally Posted by Justinic
I used various books and seals and little bits and pieces from various warhammer empire knights sprues to make him more ornate and inquisorial looking.
Apart from the Psycannon he was realy easy to model and looks really effective.
I also made one from a Termie with bare head, gave him two swords, he is painted gold and looks f*****n awesome.
I think the new Vets or the Empeor's champion work well.
But DA vets are the best. I'm gonna use one myself.
There are 10 types of people in the world. Those who understand binary and those who don't.
just grab a terminator
say hes got termi armor and whatevers on the model
