Hq: (joins up with assault squad)
PS. Thats for the help LO!
anyways well i can truthfully say I hate IG, I did not think that the IF player would actually take a leman russ in such a small game but look at this...He did. And for he record I never got a clear shot at his rear armor so That thing was running amok the entire game. It was called for the IG victory, At the end of the game i had half a tact squad and my whirlwind left alive, The chaos had 4 guys only left and the IG had well....Basicly everything, I kid not. The game we played had some twusts, The IG player didnt deploy at the beginning but started all in reserve (this was symbolizing they are coming to clear us out after we fight each other) The game basicly went that Me and the chaos went head hunting for each other since we didnt know what the IG were taking...and later lets just say CC happaned in a bad area...This big main street a CC was going on for awhile ( i live for 3 turns against 2 Chaos squads) then once I died and the CC was over...The IG rolled his Leman Russ right into veiw and Layed out almost 1 squad. This was a bitter defeat so Im looking to beat the IG next game (me vs. IG this friday 100 point battle)
Anyways If you got this far congratz you have alot of patience! But did I do the right thing? go after the chaos and kinda forget about the IG? or should i have go after the IG once he showed up?
Anytime a player starts in reserve like that and you have another opponent on the field, I never go all out after the player on the board unless I am confident that I can take him out before the reserve player comes into play. I would have played defensive until you knew what the IG had.
<(^^)> <(^^<) (>^^)> ^(^^)^ Dance Kirby! Dance!
I am sorry you had to play someone who wants to take a Russ in games that small.
However in Cityfight you will get a 5+ cover gainst it and be able to plasma its rear armour from above and as it has to roll to hit at bs3 it will only get 3 hits per game with an average of 10 wounds so that's 7 dead marines, thats 1 of your 105pt squads against a 170pt tank.
Or your master could go melta bomb tank hunting.
I never play in 3 way games it always turns into 2 v's 1 and reserve can actually give you an advantage as you pull out your units after they have.
Where's the Assault Marine Squad the master joins by the way?
Your army seems good you just need some melta's to stop this happening again.
Every time you read this sig: a fairie dies!
This is a continued campaign...He was gonna join up with them IF he lived through this battle
this campaign seems very interesting. i might do something like it myself.
so your HQ and a tac squad were in cc or just your hq??? and i would have gone more defensive and, being a raven guard player would hav used reserves myself. also did the guard have any other significant units in this game or was it all russ.lastly good luck in the 100 pt game never played one myself.
