    sisters true power?

last time a played against sisters of battle in a 1850 pt battle, i was facing over 80 sisters! is this they way the sisters are supposed to be played? as a hoarde of crazy women that shower anything that moves with a flurry of bolts? i never thought that this is the way that sisters should be played

Well, the fact that the SoB list is now part of the Whitch hunters list means there are many odd and fun ways to play.

But one of the main strenghts of the SoBs is their pts cost, its only one up from a Storm Trooper yet you get:
    -Boltgun
    - WS 4
    - BS 4
    - 3+ Save
    - Faith
    - Some Squad specific thingys

So yeah, there very Economic, probly one of the most economic models out there, so although it can be played as you faced, its not the only way to play, as a note the next big + is the Exorcist!!!!

Anyway, the WH list really has no standard way that you can play. You don't even have to have any SoB units

You aint kiddin there. The bolter alone is worth the point. Throw in the 3+ save and Faith merely as a bonus.

Even more economical are the Celestians. Only 2 points more per model for +1 WS, +1 I, +1 Ld, automatic Faith point, ability to take a heavier special weapon, Holy Hatred, cheaper VSS upgrade, and ability to take an Immolator for transport.

Sorry, I don't think that that's even more economical. The "ability" to take stuff costs points, so it's irrelevant. The VS upgrade should be cheaper, because it doesn't give you anything faith related. Overall, it isn't twice as good as the stuff for the sisters. Still very economical though.

The more figs you can get on the table, the more shots, hits and wounds you opponent needs to make to win. I found it best with SoB to get as many figs as you can out on the table.

I've found out something that is similar, but different: for my play style it's best to get as many 10-woman squads with VS and imagifer. This allows me to be able to use the faith instead of having to wait for the enemy to mostly kill my sisters.

The only reason I'd take IST's is to take wargear, specifically a Teleport thingy, but as that's only DH, I don't. And a Sis. Superior can take wargear anyway. Sisters can certainly be played in numbers if wanted? But games are more fun when you use the 'unorthodox' WH units.
