    Guard Scenarios

I was wondering if anyone makes up their own special scenarios. My friends and i have done so many times and the games are usually fun and ballanced for the most part. the only exception was the time we did a tyranid invasion and a lexamechanic(?) was stranded in a building with some servitors who had to be rescued by the imperials. the fluff was that the mechanic had bio information on the tyranids. the tyranids had sustained assault for all units very fun. what do you think would be a good IG scenario? and have you played scenarios that you make up?

As am I really. IG is a very defensive army, digging in and shooting at what comes is what we do best.

And that is why it's so important to bring your Bassie!

So you can never be outranged and therefore forced to attack!!

Me and my friend both have guard armies, so we decided that a WW1 style trench battle was in order! We got a big board, and began blasting away at each other. We could not get through no-mans0land alive! In our game, we only used infantry and earthshaker guns. For the earthshakers, we put them at the end of our table adge, and they could only fire indirectly. Any troops in a trench got an automatic cover save of 3+. It took a long time to find enough wire for no-mans-land!

    I hear you!

I faced off against a friend of mine's IG in a tourny. Offical game of the Modified Cleanse (where it's at an angle). Two trenches facing off against each other with objective smack in the middle of no mans land...

I didn't even bother going for it, he tried ... but it wasn't smart. man IG vs IG is just brutal! i love it!!

I won the game through simply having more guns.

I also fought the same guy in an IG vs IG CityFight, now *that* fun!
He got his Ogryns in CC with me, that's bad.
He squeeked by with a tie, literally just got it in the last round

    favorite matchs for IG
    IG vs IG
    IG vs Ork

I played a scenario based on the 1993 Somalia Incident (Black Hawk Down) with my friend who plays SM. His "elite" troops took the place of the US Army Rangers with a crashed Thunderhawk taking the place of the downed helicopter. My IG were the Somalian militia fighters with an almost unlimited amount of reserves as they were coming from elsewhere in the city. We found the game to be rather balanced and he managed to rescue the crew of his downed aircraft. All in all we enjoyed creating and playing our own scenario.
Military Power wins battles, but Spiritual Power wins wars!
