Well, whats your favorite Ig model line? Doesnt have to be new, and FW is included...
Ok, I'll kick it off by saying my favorite: The Old metal Catachans were awsome, and looked like real, hardend soldiers, not steroid-shooting rambos (which are the plastic ones, of course)
I miss the Mordians. Anyone with enough balls to go out and fight in the field in full dress uniform in the 40K universe is welcome in my army. Plus the fluff about the battle for their homeworld, with them fighting massive chaos forces in disciplined ranks was very cool. I loved the look of them, the way they could stand out brilliantly on the field of battle.
My more contemporary choice would be the Steel Legion. They're just excellently modelled troops that really need to get a plastic incarnation. Mine are being painted in German Uniform Grey (a non GW color), so they look like they just dragged themselves out of a trench and are ready to charge into no-man's land.
My favorite would have to be the FW Mordians they are GOING to release or else!!!!!111oneeleven!!
But really, I like the new Cadians just fine, they represent how I beilieve the Imperium would equip and outfit each regiment, nothing too shiny, but enough protection to stand up to a Grot, not many other lines look like they have armr that can do that.
"Through most of the war we fought as nobles might. Never betraying, never decietful. But there came a point where tripping the soldier next to you might mean another day of life..."
Well, GW didn't make them, but the Elysians are by far my favorite as of right now.
They just look so damned nice.
Kaskrins and Steel Leagion, for regular troops. The reason I play Grenadiers is because I love the models so much.
Of course I love the Techpriest Models a lot too, but have given up using them.

i personly think that the new Cadians are just fine. But i'd have to say i really like the old Valhallen models, the russian look to them was nice .

As much as I like the current plastic Cadians for their pretty good looks and ease of use (and converting) thanks to not being metal, I think its a close call between the Classic Valhallens and the new Elysians.
I am the Aquila-Guerilla!
I like the steel legion models, they can be used as Armoured fists. or if you have
enough time/money/conversion skills you can make a total army out of them.

As much as I love the Kasrkin models, my vote has to go to the Soviet-esque Valhallans. If the older figures were more readily available, I would definitely be using them in place of my plastic Cadians.
I have to say that the Steel Legion is my fave. They remind me of the pulp 1940's German infantry from the old comic books. Like "Superman versus the Uber-Nazis" or something like that. Although I hate Nazis, these guys are just too cool. I also can't accept the price-$35/box and you only get ten of them. What's up with that? It's probably that they are metal instead of plastic, but why can't they be moulded in plastic? That would up the number you get in a box and make the price a lot more reasonable. Not to mention accessible. Most of us are willing to shell out that much, but someof us can't. Like me for instance: I work in the fast food industry as a cook. This means my paycheck isn't that much. So $35 is a lot to be asking, to me, for ten metal guys. This may be true for some others here. So I turned to the Mordians since you get 20 in a box like the others. They aren't as cool, but they come pretty close since they look like a bunch of U.S. Marines in parade dress.
