    Autogun for guardsmen

where do you get autoguns?(those machinegun look alikes).
I saw some in an army in white dwarf #301.
they were veterans in an army in a battle report. they were called "tahnelian airborn" or something.

I believe the "auto-gun" is from the GW Necromunda line.

There are some "sprues" for Necromunda, which contain autoguns, laspistol, autopistols, shotguns and some other guns.
Look under the Specialist game section on the online store.

you can order them like the others have said, or convert your own.

i just did a lasgun to autogun conversion for one of my vets.
    it's rather simple/easy to do.

all you need is the lasgun and a boltpistol (both plastic).

cut off the lasgun's powerpack clip.
cut off the lasguns barrel (make the front of the gun completly flat) and bayonet (or that lil stub).

cut off the clip of the boltpistol (cut it off right above the clip so that you get the 1mm of the wider part)
cut off the barrel of the bolt pistol.

plastic cement the BP clip to the lasgun (where you removed the lasgun powerpack). if you got the part of the BP clip that was right above the clip, the two pieces should match up very closely.

plastic cement the BP barrel to the front of the lasgun. make sure it's straight.

you now have a "poormans" autogun.

i hope you could visulize this, as i am too lazy to post pics!

Well, since autoguns have the exact same stats as a lasgun, I guess you could put them on your whole army and it wouldn't matter. Heck, most average players wouldn't even notice it until you told them what to look for.

    the "cool" factor.

or if you wanted to make an army w/ no "las" weapons.
