i was wondering if it was possible to get an assasin in a space marine army by taking a deamon hunter inquistor as one of ur hq choices? is this possible?
I'll try to be nice, but my patience wears thin with this sort of thing.
Use the search funtion, that is what it is for.

that thread is a bit confusing as there's a lengthy debate of the rules.
to summarize. yes, in fact taking an Inq Lord is the *only* way to get an assassin in your SM list.
You can take the inquisitor lord, or just an inquisitor. Difference is that the lord is HQ, while the "normal" inquisitor counts as an elite (so does the assassin).
Thereby if you take an inquisitor you use up the 0-1 elites for allies meaning you would be unable to take an Assassin as such you have to take an Inquisitor Lord to have an assassin.
