well, have fun putting it all together and painting. remember, you're going to have the urge to paint them all quickly but resist and take your time try to maintain an even level a quality throughout your army.
Use all the money you saved to buy the bitz you will need for the conversions
Seriously, getting an army from scratch is a great opportunity to create something unique I don't think you should miss. It doesn't even have to be very hard to model and paint; an Ultramaar PDF force, for example, with Ultramarine insignia would look pretty distinct but would be easy to paint.
well i say paint em quickly as long as they dont look like total crapOriginally Posted by BoxANT

Yes,they are going to be a custom army, one that is associated somehow with inquisitors. The planned colour scheme is bleached bone fabrics and some sort of crimson for the flak armour pieces.I'm really going for a Vatican Guard type of look as I like the brighter colours on the table.
Nice idea you going to throw in some GreyKnights?Originally Posted by Ikeaboy
you should bitz order alot of stuff from the Inq scale line, and some SM sprues. they'll really help give your guardsmen some Inq Character
Grey Knights are on the horizon.I've already built an Inquisitor and his retinue from old bits(Daemonhammer Inquisitor w/a bishop's mitre,3 combat servitors,Catachan acolytes with wood elf heads from the early 90's,Catachan Daemonhosts)so the army will start Imperial Guard w/Daemonhunter allies and evolve from there.I'm in the process of stripping a second-hand Catachan army to use w/the Cadians.Don't know if I'll use them to represent Veterans or what.So far I'm liking the iron discipline, veterans, close order drill, sharpshooter, and ratling snipers for doctrines.Seems to fit with an experienced Inquisitor Guard force who face many monstrous creatures.
By the way,BoxANT,what did you have in mind for the SM parts?I've scratchbuilt purity seals onto 3 of my heavy weapons so far and any conversion ideas are very welcomed.
