i thinking of starting IG but i rally dont like catchacans or cadian models.
i was thinking of doing an army like the guy in the white dwarf who used men at arms(but not using men at arms).
i know 3 people around that play IG and i could get some lasguns from them but not sure what models im gong to use.
thogh i was thinking of empire models.
swordsmen as infintry?
And one last question i want to have low amounts of infintry because not sure of how many lasguns i get.
In the shock troops box set there are enough lasguns to make twenty guys but they're all being held. There's only four free lasguns per box.
They shall be my Imperial Guard and they shall know some fear...
If I'm thinking about the same army, the torso, legs and heads were Bret. Men at arms and the arms with the lasguns were from the Cadian box.
Artificial Intelligence is no match for Natural Stupidity.
the men at arms conversions are cool but seem time consuming and expensive (idk the exact price tho) just in case you havent seen them you should check out steel legion. You can easily convert the lascannon gunner to be the gunner of any cadian weapon team (the steel legion heavy bolter loader looks really good with the las gunner on a cadian heavy bolter platform. And as for rough riders http://tinyurl.com/bebvd
lol a guard army with a low amount of infantryOriginally Posted by khorne
well if you want
you need 25 guys for an infantry platton (1 troops choice)
5 guys for a command platoon
and then 10 guys for a armored fist squad(you need a chimera)
so 40 guys youll need the compulsory choices
perhaps milita are a better choices as they have 20 models a box
while swordsmen have 19 guys a box
