In the Daemonhunters 4th ed. Codex, on page 38, the pic at the bottom show some G.K. taken as a Troops choice AND a Fast Attack choice, when it clearly states on page 29 that they may be taken as a F.A. choice INSTEAD of a Troops choice, so how would this work, unless I'm being too technical.
If you take them as a Fast attack unit, they gain deepstrike. Otherwise, they are a troops choice.
But, they never take up more than one place on your force orginisation chart. You can have them as a troops OR fast attack choices.
Taking Grey Knights as fast attack is decided on a per unit basis, not per army. So in the example you are looking at the commander has taken two Grey Knight squads as troops and one squad as fast attack with the ability to Teleport/Deep Strike.
