    Scouts and Sargents

Is there any way for a power armoured Sargent to lead a squad of Scouts? Or must the Scout Sarge have no power armour?

    Von Romanoff

The Thousand Sons and The Ultramarines face eachother on opposite sides of a battlefield.
Bob: Move the troops into those strategic positions to face the chaos scum!
Magnus: *Eyes glow* You want to move the troops into the minefield.
Bob: *Turns to Sergeant* No, move them into the minefield instead.
    Magnus: Heh.

Have to have regular 4+ sadly, although isn't there a trait that lets squad leaders buy terminator armour?

Totally not in theme but funny as hell in game terms...

"Squad 1 coming under fire.... damn how did they spot us?"
    "Terminator whistles innocently"
"Ah.. i'm almost done with these 3rd quater spreadsheets and still no sign of.."
    "What, is up, my dog?"
    "Ughhh I'm not your dog"
"Waterman, you crack me up! that's why you're my D-O-G-E"
"Your Doge? What are you talking about? I'm Strong Bad Waterman works in retial shipping resources"
"Ah-ha Good one waterman, I mean good one MY DOG"

vet serg can certainly buy Artificer Armor, which can certainly look like power armor.
    Take life seriously, its lethal.

Hey, I don't mind the 4+ save at all, I'm doing a scout-heavy army anyways I just have more sargents than needed! Thanks for the answers, this'll make them look more diverse now.

EDIT: Scout heavy when the plastic scouts come out...December 3rd has never been so far away But my birthday is on the 5th!

a scout sergeant with terminator honours can take equipment from the armory... so technically it is possible for a scout sergeant to wear terminator armour or artificer armor. It would look silly though...

I don't think power armour counts as wargear that a Veteran Sergeant can take. Besides, it would negate the infiltrate and move through cover special rules, and that kind of defies the point of a scout squad.

i think that with a combination of traits u can give termis armors to ppl with only one wound.

Magnus: *Eyes glow* You want to move the troops into the minefield.

Bt's don't have Sergeants in their Tactical squads. That would be a interesting thing to see though. A Artifcier armored sergeant leading a squad of scouts.

The traight in question does not give sergeants the ability to have terminator armor. Terminator armor is in the armoury and can be given to any sergeant regardless of weather or not you use the traioghts (scions of mars). What the traight DOES do is give a lower price for terminator armor for models with only one wound. So in effect, it makes terminator armor cheaper for your sergeants.

Efficiency VS Point Cost VS Ease Of Use - Your best bets:

    1) Chaplain led Assault squad - 2 plasma pistols, powerfisted sergeant

    2) 8 man Devastator squad - 4 missile launchers

    3) Land Speeder Tornado - HB + AC
